Budgeting
We understand the role that a budget plays in church finances, and for many churches it is a bylaw requirement. As such we offer a couple different options in terms of entering your budget into Quickbooks Online to ensure your monthly reporting can also include your giving & expenses compared to the budget that has been created. (please note, for RemoteXP clients option 2 services are included)
Option 1
- Without additional support from myXP, you create the budget for you church following your preferred process. Once you budget is completely finished, you will create a todo & let the myXP team know that you are ready to submit your budget for input.
- At that point we will provide a GSheet budget input template based on your Chart of Accounts and post the link for you with very clear & specific instructions for how you will enter you budget on this sheet.
- Once the your budget has been input completely, you will complete the task in Basecamp triggering the myXP team to enter your budget. As long as the sheet is still in tact and the instructions of input have been carefully followed (as to not break any formulas etc)...the myXP team will then enter your budget into quickbooks online and will provide budget reporting as a part of the monthly reporting package.
- Option 1 is provided at no additional cost to your outside of your monthly subscription cost.
- Option 1 comes with up to 5 Chart of Accounts changes. Due to the complexity of making updates to all the connected software, anything over 5 changes will incur an additional fee.
- Please note: to ensure accuracy and reduce confusion, we are only able to input your church budget if it is submitted on the myXP provided budget input template created for your church following the provided instructions.
- myXP's Role in Option 1
- Post a COA doc for updates (up to 5 COA changes per budgeting cycle. If more a COA overhaul is likely required—see Additional Services below for more info)
- Create and post budgeting entry template
- Provide reporting access to quickbooks (if not already provided) and also payroll reports as requested.
- Input budget into quickbooks
- Any input, advice, or weighing in on budgetary matters requires the use of option 2.
Option 2
- If you would like myXP to partner with you in the budget creation we are happy to do that as well. For Bookkeeping+ churches, as a part of our additional services we are happy to prepare a budget for your church based on current trends in giving & expenses.
- Once the budget is prepared we will then turn it over to you for review and adjustment on things that we are not privvy to in the upcoming year.
- The fee for this service is $350 and includes (2) 45 minute zoom calls for budget planning purposes. (This and all services are included for RemoteXP Churches)
