Issuing a Check to an Alternate Address – What You Need to Know
Overview
There may be situations where you need to personally deliver a payment to a vendor, but myXP cannot issue a check to an alternate address. This means we cannot send a check made out to a vendor to you for delivery.
Instead, you’ll need to handle the payment locally. Below are the best alternatives to ensure a vendor receives payment in a timely manner.
Alternative Payment Options
1. Write a Paper Check from Your Church’s Checkbook
If your church has a checkbook, the simplest solution is to write a check directly to the vendor and deliver it yourself. If you don’t have access to the checkbook, check with an authorized signer at your church.
2. Obtain a Cashier’s Check from the Bank
If writing a church check isn’t an option, you can visit the church’s bank branch and request a cashier’s check for the vendor. The bank will issue the check using funds from the church’s account, and you can then deliver it as needed.
Why Can’t myXP Issue a Check to an Alternate Address?
For security and compliance reasons, checks issued through myXP must be sent directly to the vendor’s designated address. This ensures proper record-keeping, prevents fraud, and avoids confusion over payment delivery.
